At the centre of this revival is The Atkinson, a cherished arts venue, which has declared its intention to spearhead a series of groundbreaking events aimed at rekindling the town's historic charm.
Next year, Southport promises to be a stage for an eclectic mix of art, music, and performance, all designed to captivate the imagination. Among the highlights are the 'Lightport' installation in February, where visitors can walk through a mesmerising rainbow, and the 'Cristal Palace' in April, transforming Lord Street into an open-air ballroom beneath a dazzling 15-metre chandelier.
