Growing up with computers in every corner of his home, courtesy of his computer-engineer parents, he developed a knack for technology early on. Yet, it wasn’t just the gadgets that shaped his worldview. His unique perspective on education was fostered by a platform known for its democratic exchange of ideas: Quora. Here, he first began to question the status quo.
His journey from a curious child to a reformist teenager took a defining turn when he started scrutinising the OSM (Objective Structured Marking) system widely implemented across schools. His findings, which he shared on social media and other platforms, highlighted inconsistencies and a lack of transparency that he believes undermine the educational process.
The Push for Transparency
The document he crafted, calling for schools to embrace transparency and accountability, spread like wildfire. Hundreds of schools, including prestigious Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, received his manifesto. It urged educational institutions to rethink how they present and defend their marking systems online.
“We need to know more than just the final score,” he argues. “Understanding the marking process helps students learn and grow. It should be clear and accountable.” His words struck a chord with students and educators alike, resonating with those who have long called for a more open educational framework.
