Dudhu Miah, once a government schoolteacher, found himself without a job in March 2020 after a high court-ordered review of educational qualifications led to his dismissal. Yet, in a turn of events that could inspire a generation, Miah has reclaimed his educational status by passing the Class 12 board exams, a feat he achieved alongside his daughter, Ruma Akter.
The results, declared by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education, have brought a wave of joy to their hometown of Jampuijala. For Miah, the accomplishment is not just personal. It signifies a public reclamation of dignity after his abrupt job loss. 'I wanted to show my children and my community that it's never too late to learn,' he said, his voice filled with emotion.
